Pulsation Damper Size Selection Tables for Low Pressure Dosing Pumps
|
|
1. Dampers listed below are from 1000s of "off the shelf" inventory dampers, for preventing pipe systems from converting dosing flow shots into pressure pulsation. Call toll free 1-888-DAMPERS (326-7377) for discounts, etc. Choose a damper matching your pump connection size, for standard damping. Or allow us to calculate for you, from your smoothness required and your system data. |
It is least expensive to use standard twin connection dampers, save a "T" - use the other connection or the system drain, RV or gauge; when not flowing through. |

INSTRUCTIONS: |
4. Please choose the damper part number from the table , which has the same connection size as your pump.
5. We have made these "pre-engineered" selections for you, on the basis of 40 years experience, and average
application circumstances.
6. Please call us toll-free 1-888-DAMPERS (326-7377) with the part number chosen from the tabulation. We will then
find the current price for you. |
All Stainless Steel , With "Flexflon" PTFE
For LP Dosing Pump discharge, & suction of HP pumps where EPDM, Buna N, Hypalon, Fluoros, are NOT compatible. Twin connections are off the shelf inventory items. If you do not wish to intercept pressure pulsation, nor to flush before service, save the cost of an extra "T" and use the second connection for your RV. PI, or System Drain. For high pressure see PipeHugger HP. |

Gas in elastomer Bag Liquid in 316ss shell
The 1965 Original, no popper, one piece molded - no glue or bong in the gas bag, pulsation interceptor. If you do not want in place flusability, or to intercept pressure spikes. Then save a "T" and use the second connection for your RV, Drain or a PI. |

The ratio of cross sectional areas inside the pipes for best pressure stability is 2:6:3:1. Where 2 is a suitable areas for constant velocity suction supply, an area of 6 accommodates the peak velocity of the suction stroke. 3 will take the peak velocity of the discharge stroke, 1 will be idea for the discharge. |
PUMPS make FLOW, SYSTEMS cause PRESSURE, pressure pulsation is a system response, AND a system responsibility NOT a pump manufacturers liability. |
